Estate Planning

An estate plan is more than just a set of documents.

It’s a comprehensive strategy to protect your legacy and your family’s future.

A strategic and personalized plan, tailored to your needs.

I will meet with you multiple times throughout the estate planning process to ensure that your estate plan reflects your wishes and benefits the people and causes you care about most.

We are all unique, and the estate plan we craft together will be personalized to your unique circumstances, such as:

  • Planning guardianship for minor children

  • Protecting loved ones in blended families

  • Avoiding inheritance taxes for unmarried/unregistered partners

  • Succession planning for business owners

  • Estranged or difficult family members

  • Heirs with special needs receiving government benefits

  • Planning for financially irresponsible heirs

  • Ensuring your pets are taken care of

  • Digital assets and online accounts

  • Charitable giving strategies

  • Succession plans for intellectual property

  • Protecting your adult children’s inheritance from potential divorces or creditors

  • Non-traditional relationship or family structures, such as polyamorous estate or guardianship planning

A structured process, with empathy.

Planning for our incapacity and death can be emotionally difficult, but it’s important to prepare so that we can continue to support our loved ones and cherished causes even when we’re no longer around. I am happy to talk through any of your concerns and face those difficult feelings and choices alongside you.

You can schedule a free consultation with me at your convenience. During that consultation I’ll learn about your personal and family circumstances and walk you through the different options available for your customized estate plan.

Once retained, I will send you a comprehensive questionnaire to inform your estate planning documents. You will have access to your draft documents to review and approve in advance, then we will find a convenient time that works for you to meet in person and get your documents signed and notarized.

If you have any questions or concerns at all during the process, you can text me or we can schedule a meeting over video call or in-person at your convenience.

All people are welcome. Pitti Law is happy to serve diverse clients of all backgrounds, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender expression, or non-traditional relationship or family structures. Estate planning in particular benefits from an attorney who understands chosen family and alternative lifestyles. Your legal documents should reflect your values and protect the people you love, regardless of how you define that.

Flat fees with no surprises.

During our initial consultation we will discuss your goals, then I will provide a retainer agreement offering a simple flat fee based on the complexity of your estate. For couples who want to complete their estate plans together, the second plan is 50% off.

That estate planning flat fee will be all-inclusive of legal services and costs. At your signing I will provide you with a binder to keep your important documents, key information, and guidance for your personal representative in the event of your death or incapacity.

Your retainer will sit in a trust account and will remain yours until work is completed. Pitti Law, LLC can accept credit cards or checks, online or in-person.

As a former federal employee impacted by the DOGE layoffs of 2025, I am also proud to offer significant discounts of 20% off my normal fees to former federal employees.
